My handcrafted wood furniture follows the simplicity of design in the spirit of Nakashima, Mid-Century Modern, Arts & Crafts, Prairie School of Design, and Shaker principles. I design and built my handcrafted furniture in northeast hardwoods such as cherry, maple, oak, ask, and hickory. I can also source mahogany and many other hardwoods listed here.

Some clients are understandably reluctant to sign a proposal without fairly complete designs for custom work. I now offer a furniture design consultation, which at a very reasonable fee allows clients to get two CAD designs to review before we go to the proposal stage.

I work with clients using my existing designs as a starting point but often we collaborate on a new design that meets the client’s needs and we iterate on the design until the piece is ready for build.
