DINING ROOM TABLES
A dining room table is so important, a place for families and friends to join together to share meals and conversation. The dining room table must be comfortable, allow for different seating plans, and take the wear and tear of these groups. We can start with one of my designs or you can also come to me with some new requirements and we can collaborate on a design and the best timber species and dimensions before the build starts. Unlike many high end furniture store dining room tables, which are only veneered plywood or MDF, my tables are solid hardwood both tops and legs.
All of the table dimensions and wood species below are from previous client projects. Dimensions, wood species, and finishes can be modified to fit your home’s design and your personal tastes. These tables all use mortice and tenon joinery to lock in the joints, with no nails or screws used in the construction. MID-CENTURY MODERN DINING TABLE W Leaf
The client wanted a nearly square table seating 6 comfortably (8 if needed) with a 22" leaf to fit up to 10. Mid‑Century Modern design with simple components and a 1" top for a subtle look. The four legs are connected with solid rails and two extension rails that are hidden in the side rail to support the leaf. Finished with four coats of hand‑rubbed varnish.

MID-CENTURY MODERN DINING ROOM TABLE
This Mid-century modern table with straight components and stretchers that forms crisp shadow lines and add strength. Top is 1¼ - 1½″ thick. Four legs plus a center stretcher allow flexible seating: The 84″ seats 8, 96″ seats 10. Finished with four coats of hand-rubbed varnish or urethane.

Mid Century Inspired DINING ROOM TABLE
This simple and graceful table seats 6 - 8 people. 1" solid hardwood top with chamfered edges. Gently tapered legs (optional) join a thin solid cherry apron. Ideal for smaller spaces; benches can add flexible seating. Finished with 4 coats hand-rubbed varnish or urethane.

TRESTLE LEG DINING ROOM TABLE
Trestle Leg Dining Table features angled components and bevels for strong shadow-lines. The 1¼ - 1½" top is sturdy has chamfered edges for a lighter look. Low-profile legs and a trestle cross support allow flexible seating. The trestles use wedges for full disassembly. Finished with 4 coats of hand-rubbed varnish.
Depending on the size, the table can seat 6 to 10 people
